day 2

Forever 21 Sweater  [similar] | Leith Double Layered Tube Skirt | Cheap Monday Layer Heel Booties
In 2013 I resolved that I wouldn't shop fast fashion brands anymore. I told myself it was time to grow up and begin investing in quality pieces rather than acquiring trend pieces at volume. Well, I made it a respectable five or six months before I broke down and bought gym clothes at F21 (spoiler alert: not made for adult bodies/booties). But even then I avoided the siren song of F21's absurdly inexpensive trend pieces until a few months later when Jennie dragged me there in pursuit of tribal prints and amidst the studded pleather and distressed-everythings I spotted this sweater that just screamed Wang knock off. SOLD!

This was Day 2. I needed something that could translate from workwear to winebar-wear for a friend's birthday down the block. The cropped sweater and midi-length skirt pairing is one of my favorite silhouettes right now. What's yours?

P.S. I love Major Lazer. I love Pharrell. I really, really love this Major Lazer featuring Pharrell track. Enjoy! xx

day 1

Jeffrey Campbell Weber Bootie | Wilfred Rollinson Blouse [similar here] | Zara Faux Leather Leggings [similar here]
It's no secret that my style speaks loudly. Whether they're saying, "Ooh, we're so edgy!" or "Cat hair? No, it's mohair..." my clothes make a statement. So when it came time to decide what I wanted to wear for my first day on the ShopSense team, I really contemplated the kind of first impression I wanted to make. And then after standing in my closet for 45 minutes waiting for inspiration to strike, I went with something that said, "Black goes with black, right?".

What's your ideal first day 'fit?

Marsèll Boots · Asos Tunics · Alice + Olivia Leggings

P.S. This has been my getting dressed soundtrack for a month now. My neighbors hate me. But I'm a grown woman! I can do whatever I want.
